Panel Discussion: Aligning Public Art Process with Artists' Practice

A panel of artists, curators and municipal public art staff will discuss strategies to better align public art programs and commissioning processes with the diverse ways artists are practicing in 2017. The discussion will centre on proposing policy and procedural changes that could be implemented for public art to better reflect current contemporary art making and to support new approaches to art in the public realm. This discussion will be followed by a workshop.
